Lane Bess


Mr Bess is the Principal and Founder of Bess Ventures and Advisory. He has spent over 30 years as an operational executive and has successfully launched start-ups and grown medium-sized businesses to large scale. Between 2008 and 2011, Bess was CEO of Palo Alto Networks where he led the late fundraising, and scaled the company from its early go-to-market to a revenue run rate exceeding $200 million on path to its IPO. Prior to Palo Alto Networks, he served as the EVP of Worldwide Sales and General Manager of publicly traded Trend Micro Inc. (Nikkei) – growing worldwide revenues to over $1 billion annually. He has extensive experience in building technology businesses in Europe, Asia Pacific, and Japan as well as other international regions. His considerable work in the security technology sector has made him a trusted advisor for many enterprise CIOs and CISOs.

Guy Caspi

Mr. Caspi is a seasoned Chief Executive Officer & Serial Entrepreneur. He has spearheaded companies in senior positions through entire life cycles; from start-up, accelerate growth and up to IPO in Nasdaq. Caspi is a thought leader with in-depth knowledge of computer science Deep Learning AI assimilation in Cyber Security & Big Data Analysis, combined with a unique strong Go-To-Market execution experience. Caspi has 25 years of experience in Nasdaq technology corporates and in his past, he was 17 years CPO, COO, BU GM, and later move to business as CRO and Corp Dev. Caspi has a strong computer sciences & financial background a Master from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and he finished successfully the joint MIT Sloan Business school / Israeli Technion Institute as the 1 years Global Executive Program.
In 2017 Mr. Caspi selected as Tech Pioneer by the World Economic Forum in Davos. In 2018 Caspi was nominated as a board member of the prestigious Forbes Magazine Technology Council.

Deborah Chase-Hopkins

Board Member

Ms Chase-Hopkins is a seasoned C-Suite executive and corporate leader. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Union Pacific, Marsh & McLennan, and Virtusa and an Advisory Board Member at M3 Biotechnology, SalesHero, and an Executive Fellow at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Prior to her retirement from Citi as Chief Operations and Technology Officer, Chase-Hopkins was founder and CEO of Citi Ventures, and Citi’s first Chief Innovation Officer. In that role she and her team focused on partnering with emerging technology companies across cybersecurity and deployment technologies for the financial sector. These partnerships included direct equity investments by Citi Ventures, and support to these companies enabled them to scale at a rapid rate.

Prior to Citi, Chase-Hopkins served as Chief Financial Officer at The Boeing Company and Lucent Technologies. She was General Auditor at General Motors, then VP of Finance at GM Europe in Zurich.

Ray Cheng

Board Member

Mr Cheng is a Partner at Millennium Technology Value Partners, for which he leads the firm’s investments in PrecisionHawk, Blackmore Sensor & Analytics, Phantom AI, BigCommerce, and actively manages a number of portfolio companies.

Prior to Millennium, Cheng spent three years with Rho Ventures where he was a Senior Analyst. At Rho, Cheng focused on investments in Internet companies, software services and clean technology. He was involved with Rho’s investments in OMGPOP (acquired by Zynga), Precision Demand (acquired by AOL), SolarBridge (acquired by SunPower), ChargePoint, Vidyo and Enerkem.

Cheng graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Systems Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Brian Gumbel

A strategic visionary within the technology space, Mr Gumbel is repeatedly called upon to transform and grow organizations. Recently stepping into the
position of President and CRO of Sisense, prior to this Gumbel was the SVP of Worldwide Sales at ForeScout, where he grew the business from $90M to over $400M in revenue during his tenure. An expert in aligning and leading sales, alliances, field engineering and services teams, Gumbel is an innovative leader in the Security, SAAS, Cloud, Virtualization, Security, Mobile and Systems Management space.

Gumbel’s other previous roles include VP for America East and Canada at McAfee, where he was also the Director of US Sales for the Healthcare vertical.

Gumbel has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Marist College, from where he also obtained a Pre-med degree.

Jeff Herbst


Mr Herbst has served as NVIDIA’s Vice President of business development since 2001. In this role, he leads worldwide business development efforts, including overall startup ecosystem development, investments, partnerships, and other strategic business relationships and transactions.

Previously, Herbst was the Worldwide Head of Corporate and Business Development at AltaVista, and a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, where he specialized in corporate and intellectual property law matters.

Herbst has a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Brown University, and a JD degree from Stanford Law School.

Mark Anderson


Mark Anderson is an experienced board member, investor and leader, who has supported the development and expansion of numerous hi-tech businesses. Currently the CEO of Alteryx (NYSE: AYX), Anderson spent four years as the Operations Director at Cisco Systems and then served as President for Palo Alto Networks. Seeking to apply his hard-earned knowledge and experience to support many hi-tech initiatives he has filled numerous board member positions to help companies achieve important expansion milestones.

John Spiliotis


John Spiliotis is a seasoned sales executive operator known for enabling high-growth company acceleration. His vast career experience includes SVP at Palo Alto Networks amongst other senior sales engineering positions. In these positions, he built world-class sales engineering and channel distribution teams and directed go-to-market strategies with outstanding success. His latest achievements include having led Palo Alto Networks Americas theater (~70% of WW sales) from $300m p/a to $1.8B p/a, a critical component towards achieving an $8B market valuation.
