In September 2022, Lane Bess, former Palo Alto Networks CEO and Zscaler COO, became the CEO of Deep Instinct. He is an early Deep Instinct investor and was its Executive Chair of the Board. Mr. Bess has spent over 30 years as an operational executive and successfully launched start-ups and grown medium-sized businesses to large scale. Between 2008 and 2011, Bess was CEO of Palo Alto Networks where he led the late fundraising and scaled the company from its early go-to-market to a revenue run rate exceeding $200 million on path to its IPO. Prior to Palo Alto Networks, he served as the EVP of Worldwide Sales and General Manager of publicly traded Trend Micro Inc. (Nikkei) – growing worldwide revenues to over $1 billion annually. He has extensive experience in building technology businesses in Europe, Asia Pacific, and Japan as well as other international regions. His considerable work in the security technology sector has made him a trusted advisor for many enterprise CIOs and CISOs.
Guy Caspi is Deep Instinct’s Co-Founder, Chief Product Officer, and Tel Aviv General Manager. Mr. Caspi is a seasoned executive and serial entrepreneur with more than two decades of enterprise technology experience in executive C-suite positions. His vision and leadership have helped guide organizations to meet growth and revenue targets in several stages of maturity, from early startup through post-IPO. Caspi is a thought leader with deep domain expertise in deep learning and AI assimilation in cybersecurity and was selected as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, in 2017. Additionally, he was nominated in 2018 as a board member of the prestigious Forbes Technology Council. He holds a master’s degree from Hebrew University in Jerusalem and a Global Executive Program certification from the joint MIT Sloan Business School / Israeli Technion Institute.
Mr. Lin is a finance executive with expertise in both enterprise software and artificial intelligence. Lin joined Deep Instinct as VP of Finance, and prior to that, held a senior finance leadership position at Afiniti and was a VP at Goldman Sachs covering enterprise software. Lin holds an MBA with Honors from Columbia Business School and two undergraduate degrees from Northwestern University: a BS (magna cum laude) in Industrial Engineering and a BA (magna cum laude) in Economics.
Mr. Froggett has a proven track record in building teams, systems architecture, large scale enterprise software implementation, as well as aligning processes and tools with business requirements. Froggett was formerly Head of Global Infrastructure Defense, CISO Cyber Security Services at Citi. In his previous role, Carl was responsible for delivering integrated risk reduction capabilities and services aligned to the architectural, business, and CISO priorities across Citi’s devices and networks in 100+ countries. Since 1998, he has held various regional and global roles for Citi, covering all aspects of architecture, engineering, global operations, as well as running critical enterprise cyber services for Citi’s cybersecurity functions. Froggett holds CISSP and CISM security certifications and a B.S. (Hons) in Computer Science from Loughborough University, UK.
Mr. Oren is a cyber security expert with experience in research and operations, both offensive and defensive. Prior to joining Deep Instinct in 2016 Oren served for 14 years as an officer in the IDF’s elite cyber unit 8200. Oren’s background includes a wide range of cyber security and research positions, where he managed multifunctional teams of hackers, researchers and engineers. Oren led the development of new methods and tools for the analysis of cyber-campaigns, as well as a series of innovative cyber intelligence collection capabilities. Over the years of has worked extensively with a variety of industry, defense, and intelligence partners and agencies in North America and Europe. He is a recipient of the President of Israel Award for Outstanding Military Service, holds a B.Sc (Magna Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from Ben Gurion University and MBA (Cum Laude) in Finance and Accounting from Tel Aviv University.
Mukesh Singh is a senior revenue leader with experience formulating successful go-to-market (GTM) strategies in enterprise technology. He combines operational excellence with effective hiring in developing high-performing teams while fostering a positive, energetic team culture with a healthy competitive spirit. His leadership philosophy centers around creating clarity of purpose and driving operational excellence through measurable outcomes and strategic alignment. Mukesh has a degree in electrical engineering from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute.
Mr. Baker has over 25 years of experience running marketing and growth in the B2B tech space. Baker joined Deep Instinct as VP of Digital and Demand Marketing in 2021 and was promoted to SVP, Marketing in 2023. Prior to that, he held executive marketing roles at AppDynamics (Cisco), ExtraHop, F5, and several startups. Baker holds an MBA with Honors from Seattle Pacific University and a BA in Finance and Marketing from Western Washington University.
Kristen Tsamoudakis is an HR leader with experience building and positioning human resources as a vital business partner across many global organizations. Kristen has deep experience managing employee relations, supporting performance development, coaching managers, corporate restructuring, fostering change management, and leading process improvement initiatives. Kristen joined Deep Instinct in 2019 as the first HR leader in North America. She holds a BA in Business Management and an MBA in Human Resource Management from Iona University. She is a Conflict Resolution Mediator certified in New York and New Jersey.
Vered Barak is an experienced HR leader with a track record of success in talent acquisition, organizational development, and fostering high-performing teams. As VP of Human Resources at Deep Instinct, Vered drives strategic HR initiatives that align business objectives with employee growth and engagement. Before Deep Instinct, Vered held senior roles in recruitment and HR consulting, specializing in global talent management and innovative workplace solutions. Vered holds a B.A. in Psychology and Business Administration and an M.A. in Law. She is dedicated to empowering people and organizations to succeed.
